Cape Town - The mother of Elton and Tony Jantjies will wear a combined Golden Lions and Blue Bulls jersey when her two sons clash at Ellis Park on Saturday.
Ylma Jantjies will have the opportunity to see her two sons play against each other for the first time at senior level, but she's not entirely sure which team to support.
Elton (23) will be the Lions' flyhalf while brother Tony (21) will be his direct opponent in the Bulls jersey.
"My mom and dad made that jersey in 2010, because they knew we'd one day play against each other when the Lions and the Bulls square off," Elton told the Beeld website.
"This (match) is special to her and she'll wear that jersey with pride. She is very excited and I know my dad will also smile from above."
The brothers' dad and rugby mentor, Thomas, died earlier this year after a bee sting.
Meanwhile, Lions coach Johan Ackermann said he is confident that Elton won't lose focus on the job at hand, despite the special occasion.
"He knows how we want him to play. As long as he doesn't view the match as an individual duel (against his brother), then he'll be fine."
The Lions are currently in fourth position on the overall Currie Cup log, while the Bulls are one spot down in fifth.
Kick-off is at 17:05 on Saturday.
