Bloemfontein - The Cheetahs will be without fullback Hennie Daniller for their Absa Currie Cup rugby encounter with the Pumas in Bloemfontein on Friday.

Coach Naka Drotske has confirmed Daniller will be rested for the match, as he has played every match this season in both the Super 14 and Currie Cup without a break.

Riaan Smit takes over in the No 15 jersey for the match that is of vital importance, as the top sides begin to scramble for semifinal places in the latter stages of the competition.

The only other change from the side that went down 30-16 against the Sharks last weekend is in the frontrow, where WP Nel replaces Cobus Calldo.
