FS change one for Griquas

Bloemfontein - Cheetahs coach Naka Drotské made one change to his starting line-up for their Currie Cup encounter against the Griquas at the Free State Stadium on Saturday.

Tighthead prop Rossouw de Klerk will replace Caylib Oosthuizen following the Cheetahs' 18-15 defeat to the Sharks in Bloemfontein last Friday.

Oosthuizen injured his shoulder in a freak accident in training this week.

"Rossouw has done well in the games he played for the Griffons in the Currie Cup First Division. He deserves a chance," said Drotské.

"Caylib knows what the situation is and we trust he will work hard to regain his place."

De Klerk's inclusion sees prop Trevor Nyakane also move to loosehead.

"Trevor did very well against the Sharks and he showed that he wants to play rugby," said Drotské.

"His versatility is such a huge plus for the side. We look forward to another good performance by him."

Lock Waltie Vermeulen recovered from a mouth-injury and will play off the bench.

Saturday's clash kicks off at 15:00.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
