CJ's move to France off?

Cape Town Reports emerging from France indicate that Toulon have not signed former Springbok prop CJ van der Linde.

The rugby365 website reports that Toulon questioned the fitness of Van der Linde and mooted plans for him to replace the departing Martin Castrogiovanni.

Van der Linde is due to run out for the EP Kings in the Currie Cup starting next week and was hoping to continue his career abroad once more following the conclusion of the provincial competition.

The former Cheetahs, Stormers and Lions front-rower last played for London Irish during the 2013/14 European season, but has since returned home.

The EP Kings kick off their Currie Cup campaign against Western Province in Port Elizabeth on 8 August.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
