Lions pick Butch at flyhalf

Johannesburg - Golden Lions coach Johan Ackerman has made three changes to his starting line-up to play Western Province in their Absa Currie Cup clash at Newlands on Saturday. Kick-off is at 14:00.

Jaco Kriel replaces Willie Britz at flank, while Britz moves to the bench in place of Kriel.

Veteran flyhalf Butch James replaces Elton Jantjies (who has been called up to the Springbok squad) at flyhalf, while Dylan des Fountain starts at centre in place of Jaco Taute who has joined the Springbok squad as well.

Meanwhile, Martin Bezuidenhout replaces Bandise Maku on the bench, Ruan Dreyer replaces CJ van der Linde (who has also been called up to the Springbok squad) on the bench, while Deon van Rensburg makes a welcome return from injury and starts from the replacement bench in place of James.
