Bulls to try Pollard at centre?

Cape Town - Blue Bulls coach Frans Ludeke may consider picking Handre Pollard at inside centre for their Currie Cup semi-final against Western Province at Newlands on Saturday.

Centre Burger Odendaal is likely to miss the trip to Cape Town after injuring his arm against Griquas at the weekend.

This could see Pollard starting in the No 12 jersey at Newlands, with Jacques-Louis Potgieter keeping the No 10 jersey.

Ludeke could also decide to start with Pollard at flyhalf, with Ulrich Beyers moving from fullback to inside centre and Jesse Kriel starting at No 15.

Meanwhile, scrumhalf Piet van Zyl injured his ankle and left the field in the 19th minute of their 46-12 win over Griquas, but Ludeke is confident that he'll be ready for Saturday's semi-final.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
