Johannesburg - Blue Bulls wing Bjorn Basson has been withdrawn from Saturday's Absa Currie Cup rugby match against the Lions in Pretoria because of concussion sustained in last week's Test match between the Springboks and All Blacks in Wellington.

I wouldn't call that a set back. How did he get concussion? He was no where near anyone, did his best to stay out of the way. Maybe it was a stray boot in the change room.

Agree, Bjorn had a disastrous game last Saturday.

  • stabes - 2011-08-04 18:38

Did someone finally give him a snotklap for playing like a complete feckwit last Saturday? The Bulls must be so happy that he's out.

While the "concussion" is healing they should consider a double hand transplant as well, his handling of the ball was poor on Saturday. In my opnion, just a good provincial player

Come on, who are you trying to bluff? If my mother-in-law gets run over by a bus, I also call it a 'setback'! Afterall, the bus might be dented and I will have to pay for the damages.

Show me one Bulls player that had a good game in the Bok jersey. They are all coached to play the bokke game plan, which sucks @ the moment. Watch them "miracullously return to form" when back in the Blue jersey. Basson is a class player that will silence the usual critics of the Bulls side.

@isak.dippenaar - nadat ek weer gelees het wat jy geskryf het, stem ek saam. Jano hoort in my opinie die 2de skrumskakel te wees by die WB. Baie goeie aanwins vir die Bulls / Bulle.
