Cape Town - Griquas flyhalf Francois Brummer has made it his mission to play for a Super Rugby franchise next season.
The 25-year-old will start at No 10 for Griquas when they kick off their Currie Cup campaign against the Sharks in Kimberley on Saturday.
According to Volksblad, Brummer recently extended his contract with Griquas until the end of next year.
However, there is a clause in his contract which allows him to join any Super Rugby team.
If the Cheetahs do not call on Brummer's services he would be happy to help out at any other Super-team.
"I really want to play Super Rugby and feel I haven't yet received a fair chance. The Cheetahs are my first choice, but I'll play where I can if it's not with them," said Brummer.
At the Cheetahs franchise, he will compete for a flyhalf birth with Elgar Watts, Willie du Plessis and Joe Pietersen.
Pietersen, a former Stormers stalwart, will join the Cheetahs next year from French club, Biarritz.
