Cape Town - The Boland Cavaliers are eager to secure the services of former Springbok coach Peter de Villiers, Die Burger reports.
There have been no formal talks between De Villiers and Boland, but it is believed that the union wants De Villiers as its Director of Rugby.
The Boland union is believed to be struggling financially though which could make the move to sign De Villiers a tough one.
De Villiers, who coached the Springboks between 2008 and 2011, is the current Director of Rugby at the University of the Western Cape.
De Villiers, 57, won the Tri-Nations title with the Boks in 2009 and also won a series against the British and Irish Lions in the same year.
