Cape Town - Blue Bulls coach Pine Pienaar has vowed that his team will become better after a disappointing start to the Currie Cup season.
The Bulls are currently the competition's basement dwellers, lying in last position with only one win in four outings.
On Saturday, they also suffered their first home defeat of the season, going down 36-27 to a resurgent Golden Lions outfit.
However, Pienaar believes they will perform better if they just focus on their strong points.
“We cannot start every week by looking back at what went wrong on the previous weekend. We need to start the week on a positive, emphasising our strengths,” Pienaar told the Blue Bulls website.
The coach also promised that his team's discipline will improve. Lock Flip van der Merwe received two yellow cards - and subsequently his marching orders - in the clash against the Lions.
“No team can play with 14 players for 60 minutes. And we conceded way too many penalties. But at least I know we will improve from here,” said Pienaar.
