Pretoria - Blue Bulls flank Deon Stegmann will miss the next four weeks of the Absa Currie Cup after he fractured his cheekbone against Griquas on Friday.

The flank left the field in the 52nd minute of the match.

Meanwhile, William Small-Smith, who left the field after a blow to the head, will have a fitness test on Thursday to determine if he will be available for the clash against Western Province on Saturday.

Francois Hougaard, who injured a thumb ligament, will also be given time until Thursday to prove his fitness, team doctor Org Strauss confirmed.

Lock Jacques du Plessis, who has a back spasm, will be back on the training field on Tuesday.

Flank Arno Botha will be back in two weeks following his medial meniscectomy.
