Cape Town - The Blue Bulls Company announced that they will not be renewing disgraced rugby player, Bees Roux's contract.
According to the Beeld newspaper, Roux was on Wednesday found guilty at a Blue Bulls disciplinary hearing for training with the Pumas rugby team without the union's consent. His dismissal is immediate.
He signed a two-year contract with the Blue Bulls at the end of the 2009 season.
The person leading the disciplinary hearing, David Short, said Roux clearly put his own interests above that of the union (Blue Bulls) by training with the Pumas.
"He maintained that he did nothing wrong and showed no remorse," said Short.
Roux's defence claimed he was under the impression he had permission to train with the Pumas.
Roux pleaded guilty last month to charges of culpable homicide and driving under the influence after the murder of metro police officer Johannes Mogale in August last year.
He reached a plea bargain agreement with the State and avoided jail time. He agreed to pay the victim's family R750 000 and was given a five-year suspended sentence.
