Cipriani to miss RWC

London - Danny Cipriani looks set to miss next year's World Cup after agreeing to join Melbourne Rebels.

The flyhalf has accepted an offer to join the new Super 15 franchise despite being told by England team manager Martin Johnson that he will not be picked if playing in the southern hemisphere.

Cipriani will leave London Wasps at the end of the northern season in May.

Cipriani has been plagued with injury and inconsistency since excelling on his England debut two years ago.

He says he has "been given no indication that I am pushing for a place with England at the moment."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
