Cheetahs president’s stay extended

Bloemfontein - The nominations for the presidency of the Free State Rugby Union as well as for the directors of the Free State Cheetahs (Pty) Ltd. concluded on Tuesday.

No new nominations were received.

Lindsay Mould was therefore re-appointed as president for a term of another three years.

The two directors, Ryno Opperman and Ernest Beck were also re-elected for a further term of two years.

Opperman, a former Cheetahs lock, is also the chairperson of the board of directors of the Free State Cheetahs (Pty) Ltd.

"This is an indication of consistency, continuity and stability in the ranks of Free State rugby," the union said via an official press release.
