Cape Town - Cheetahs coach Naka Drotske has named his team to tackle the Stormers in a pre-season clash at Newlands on Friday (19:00 kick-off).

No 8 Willie Britz will captain the side but the Cheetahs' permanent captain will only be announced in early February, with Heinrich Brussow believed to be the favourite.

Brussow is still on duty with his club in Japan and the Cheetahs are waiting for his return before they announce their 2015 captain.

Meanwhile, the Cheetahs have not risked flyhalf Joe Pietersen after he picked up an injury against the Bulls in Polokwane last weekend.

Willie du Plessis will start in the No 10 jersey on Friday.
