Cape Town - Western Province flyhalf Demetri Catrakilis has signed a two-year deal with the Southern Kings.
Catrakilis has played for WP during the Currie Cup over the last two seasons, but has failed to make the Stormers squad in Super Rugby during this period. The lack of opportunities in Super Rugby are believed to be the main reason behind his decision to join the Eastern Cape franchise, according to the keo.co.za website.
Catrakilis will compete with George Whitehead and Wesley Dunlop for the No 10 jersey next season.
Catrakilis, 23, will join recent Southern Kings signings Cheetahs centre Andries Strauss and Sharks lock Steven Sykes next season.
