Carter expected to face Wales

Cardiff - All Blacks flyhalf Dan Carter is expected to be named in the New Zealand team to play Wales this weekend after his injured leg was showing signs of healing.

The All Blacks have delayed naming their team until Wednesday but assistant coach Wayne Smith told reporters on Tuesday he expected Carter to play.

"Rather than a strain it's a bruise," Smith told the New Zealand Press Association.

"He's walking around pretty well, he'll do a managed run tomorrow as part of training, then it's just a matter of getting him through to the game.

"I'd imagine he would be (available)."
