Cape Town - Marius Joubert presented the Springboks with their match jerseys ahead of tomorrow's Test against France in Toulouse.
The centre, who played 30 Tests for South Africa, told the players: “You are a great side and one of the best in recent years.
“You have a huge presence on the field and you must go out there and make your presence felt against a tough French team.
“When you run onto the pitch you make us all proud to be South African. Good luck.”
Joubert, who played his last Test in 2005, currently plays for Clermont Auvergne in France.
Thanking Joubert, Springbok captain John Smit, said: “It is special to have someone who you have played with present the jerseys. You had some great moments in a green jersey, one being a hat trick of tries against the old foe New Zealand, which was one of the greatest games I have been part of.
“Thanks for making the time and effort. It is greatly appreciated,” Smit said.
The Boks rounded off their preparations with their captain's run at the Stadium Toulouse on Thursday.
The match kicks off in France at 20:45 on Friday (21:45 SA time).
