Bok legends v England legends

Stephen Nell

London - South African and England fans in London can get themselves in the mood for Saturday’s Test with a clash between rugby legends from the countries at the Twickenham Stoop on Friday night.

Win tickets to Bok Town in London

The England Legends' team will be led by former captain and British and Irish Lion Martin Corry, and will include several members of the 2003 World Cup winning team.

England's most-capped player, Jason Leonard, will return to his former home ground, to take part. Other heroes of 2003 include Jason Robinson, Paul Grayson, Mark Regan and Josh Lewsey. They'll be joined by other recent internationals: Richard Cockerill, Tim Stimpson, Matt Perry, Gareth Archer, Dan Luger and Ben Clarke.

The South African Rugby Legends will be led by John Allan, the ex Scottish and Springbok hooker and their Coach (former Sharks and Springbok Coach) Ian McIntosh.

Other former Springboks will include AJ Venter, Joost van der Westhuizen, Braam van Straaten, Brendan Venter, Robbie Kempson, Cobus Visagie, Marius Hurter, Pieter Muller, Breyton Paulse and ex London Irish player Ryan Strudwick.

Tickets to the event, which starts at noon, costs 10 pounds. The entertainment continues at The Stoop on match day inside the stadium’s new supporter bar facilities. Ten pounds buys you a boerewors roll and Windhoek Lager, as well as an opportunity to view the game on screen if you were unable to get your hands on a ticket.

South African and England legends will also be in attendance at the event.

There is also a Springbok Legends Dinner at the Shaka Zulu Restaurant on 24 November.

South African rugby legends in attendance will be Brendan Venter, Joost van der Westhuizen, AJ Venter, Pieter Muller, Breyten Paulse, Percy Montgomery, Robbie Kempson, Trevor Halstead, Mac Masina, Marius Hurter, Braam van Straaten, Lukas van Biljon, Cobus Visagie, Dave von Hoesslin, MJ Smith, Ian McIntosh and John Allan.

Tickets are £95 (plus VAT) and include a 3-course meal, free welcome drink, Windhoek Lager and half bottle of wine per person, Q&A, and raffles to win signed jerseys, Klipdrift Hampers and more!
