Bok signings excite Coetzee

Cape Town - Western Province and Stormers coach Allister Coetzee is relishing the prospect of having the Springbok duo of Jaco Taute and Elton Jantjies here for next year's Super Rugby competition.

WP Rugby on Monday officially confirmed that the Lions duo will join the Stormers on loan for the 2013 Super Rugby season.

Both became Springboks this year - after being part of the 2011 Currie Cup-winning Lions team.

"We're very excited about having Elton and Jaco in Cape Town for next year's Super Rugby tournament," said Coetzee.

"They're both quality players and we look forward to getting them involved here - both on and off the field - and seeing how they fit into the Stormers culture."

Taute, 21, tips the scales at 95kg and will add depth in virtually every backline position. He made his Test debut at centre in the Rugby Championship last month, but has featured mainly at fullback at Super Rugby level.

Flyhalf Jantjies, 22, weighs 88kg and scored over 200 points in Super Rugby and Currie Cup rugby combined this year. Like Taute he has played in two Tests for South Africa.
