Bok flank 'Flo' in hot water

Cape Town - Springbok flank Francois Louw could face suspension after he was sent off for punching in an English Premiership game over the weekend.

Louw, playing for Bath, received a red card against Leicester on Saturday and will face an RFU disciplinary hearing on Tuesday.

According to the Rugby365 website, Louw is not the only player in trouble. His team-mates Matt Banahan and Lee Mears will also attend the hearing after indiscretions in the stormy encounter at Welford Road, which Leicester won 17-12.

Banahan got his marching orders for a dangerous tackle, whilst Mears is facing the same charge as Louw.

Leicester will have their own representative at the hearing with Brett Deacon also sent off for striking an opponent. He has already been suspended from playing by his club for one week following an internal disciplinary hearing.

The 27-year-old Louw was impressive for the Springboks on their recent European tour, playing a vital role in helping his country claim three successive wins over Ireland, Scotland and England.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
