Baby Boks coaches finalised

Johannesburg - The South African Rugby Union (SARU) confirmed the SA U20 management team for the forthcoming season at its monthly Executive meeting in Cape Town earlier this week.

Former GWK Griquas coach Dawie Theron will lead a coaching team which includes the previous Baby Boks coach Eric Sauls and Pine Pienaar, who currently takes charge of the Free State Cheetahs’ Vodacom Cup and Under-21 sides.

Theron was appointed for three years while Sauls and Pienaar will serve as Assistant Coaches for one year.

The SA U20s on Friday concluded their first Trials and Training Camp which was held in Cape Town of the 2011 season. Theron and his management team had the opportunity to test the skills and ability of 40 players after they competed in a Trials game last Saturday.

On Thursday, the Baby Boks Trialists conceded a 50-10 defeat against DHL Western Province in their second Trials game of the 12-day camp.
