Johannesburg - Os du Randt's services as the Springbok team's scrum guru were terminated last week due to alleged "unbecoming conduct".

Du Randt, together with Springbok assistant coach Dick Muir, kicking coach Percy Montgomery, and Lions flyhalf Elton Jantjies, allegedly were guilty of unbecoming conduct the night before South Africa's Test against Wales on last year's end of year tour.
The incident in question took place in a local bar and was witnessed by several Bok supporters who had travelled to Cardiff to watch the Test.
Several of these supporters post-Test expressed their disappointment regarding Du Randt, Muir, Montgomery and Jantjies's behaviour to South African Rugby Union (SARU) officials.
According to Sport24's sources, late last month Muir, Montgomery and Jantjies were warned and rapped over the knuckles by SARU over their behaviour on that particular evening. They were also apparently fined.
But Du Randt, unlike Muir and Montgomery, is not bound by an official contract with SARU and at his own request is paid each month as a consultant to assist head coach Peter de Villiers as the team's scrum specialist.
In the aftermath of the Wales incident, SARU however decided not to continue utilising Du Randt's services and he was informed of their decision via e-mail last Monday.
According to reports, it was apparently not the first time that there were complaints regarding Du Randt's behaviour and conduct.
On that particular evening in Wales, Du Randt also caused a stir at the Springboks' hotel when staff refused to grant his access upon his return.
SARU officials had to be woken up to defuse the situation and were embarrassed to admit that Du Randt was indeed part of the Bok group staying in the hotel.
