Baby Boks on course - Theron

Johannesburg - Baby Boks coach Dawie Theron is satisfied with his team's build-up thus far ahead of the IRB Junior World Championships in Cape Town in June.

Theron said the SA Under-20 side had indicated their progression by wrapping up a 2-0 victory in a home series against their Argentine counterparts.

The South Africans secured a 13-5 win in the third and final match in Stellenbosch on Saturday.

"I am pleased with the performance today, especially our ability to keep to our structure," Theron said after the game.

"We focussed on a lot of things in this match and although the score suggests a close affair, I must say that I am satisfied with the progress we made between the opening match and this final clash."

The hosts had bagged a 51-19 win in the opening encounter and Argentina held them to a 23-23 draw in the second match.

The final SA squad of 28 players for the global junior showpiece will be named on Wednesday.
