Cape Town - Stormers and Springbok back Gio Aplon is unscathed after he was involved in a car accident in Cape Town.
According to the Rugby365 website, the Stormers wing escaped with minor bruising to his forearm.
Team-mate Bryan Habana was travelling in a separate vehicle and arrived on the scene shortly afterwards to assist.
Aplon has been examined by the Western Province team doctor, who confirmed the minor bruising to his forearm.
The airbag in his car opened which caused the minor bruising to his forearm.
He is, however, expected to play in the Stormers' pre-season clash against the Lions at Newlands on Friday night.
Habana also confirmed on Twitter that there are no serious injury concerns.
"Hey tweeps.. Thanx for all the concerns.. Gio was involved in an accident this morning but luckily there were no serious injuries," the tweet read.
