Edinburgh - New Zealand completed an untroubled 49-3 victory over Scotland on Saturday after threatening to run riot in the second international of their grand slam tour.
The All Blacks raced to a 28-3 lead at halftime with four converted tries but relaxed after the interval and took the opportunity to give their reserves a run.
Scotland coach Andy Robinson had spoken before the game about his side's confidence at ending a 105-year losing streak against the All Blacks.
But that never looked likely as Graham Henry's men dominated from start to finish following last week's victory over England.
Scotland had no idea how to cope with the vision and creativity displayed by the visitors in the first half as two tries for Hosea Gear plus additional touchdowns for Dan Carter and Mils Muliaina meant it soon became a damage limitation exercise for the hosts.
After the interval, Muliaini again scored comfortably as did Conrad Smith and Andy Ellis and, although Scotland improved, Robinson has an enormous amount of work to do before world champions South Africa visit Murrayfield next Saturday.
Dan Parks scored the game's first points with a regulation penalty but New Zealand soon hit back as Gear charged over in the 10th minute courtesy of a fine backhand offload from man-of-the-match Sonny Bill Williams five metres out.
Carter converted Gear's effort and then crossed untouched himself just 70 seconds later as New Zealand completed a try of breathtaking simplicity down the right wing with Carter collecting Isaia Toeava's pass to set down under the posts.
The scores just kept coming when Muliaina finished off a move he had started as the ball moved swiftly through the hands of Liam Messam and Carter before the fullback collected the ball on the wing to make it 3-19 inside the 20 minute mark.
Carter converted to make it 3-21 with the tone for the match well and truly established.
After dragging Scotland's defence from one side of Murrayfield to the other through a combination of forward tenacity and ingenious back play, the ball eventually landed in the arms of Gear who flashed through three Scotland tackles to race over from 20 metres out.
Scotland barely saw the ball after the break and Muliaini scored his second converted score of the game when Williams again produced a thoughtful offload to allow him easy access to Scotland's tryline.
Henry then made wholescale changes and took Carter, hooker Hika Elliot and captain Richie McCaw off. That did not stop the All Blacks with Smith and Ellis adding easy scores which were both converted by Stephen Donald.
