The Emirates Lions and Lions XV sides will participate in two warm-up matches ahead of the 2015 Super Rugby and Vodacom Cup tournaments.
The matches against NWU-Pukke XV and the Leopards will be played at 15:00 and 16:40 respectively on Saturday, January 31 at Olen Park in Potchefstroom.
Ruan Ackermann, 19, is the son of Lions coach Johan and played for the Golden Lions' Under-19 team last year.
The Lions open their 2015 Super Rugby season at home against on Hurricanes on Friday, February 13.
