Absa ends Sharks sponsorship

Durban - The Sharks have announced that Absa has terminated their 11-year association with them, having decided to drop the current sponsorship as stadium naming rights-holder which they have held since 2000.

The news comes ahead of Saturday's Currie Cup final when the Sharks host Western Province. Kick-off is at 17:30.

From Kings Park to The Stadium Kings Park and finally to The Absa Stadium Durban, the Shark Tank is world-renowned for its unique brand of pre- and post match entertainment - and as the home of the Sharks.

The termination of the sponsorship means that the Sharks will now be in the hunt to find a new sponsor ahead of next year's Super 15.
