Top 5 must-watch weekend sporting events

Cape Town -  It's the weekend!

But the sporting world never sleeps, so hang on tight and be sure to watch these FIVE events (in no particular order)!

1. CURRIE CUP

In this weekend's of action, we have the Free State Cheetahs hosting the Pumas in Bloemfontein (see PRO14) on Friday (17:30).

Then we're in Durban, where the much-anticipated clash between the Sharks and the Blue Bulls takes place on Saturday (15:00).

We end off in Cape Town, as Western Province battle the Griquas on Saturday (17:15)

2. PSL

The PSL action gets right into the swing of things on Friday when Cape Town City host Polokwane City (Kick-off is at 20:00 SA time).

Then we head to Bidvest Stadium as reigning champions Wits would like to get their first win under the belt when they tackle Orlando Pirates on Saturday (18:00 SA time).

3. TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP

It's the final tournament of the FedEx Cup!

Only 30 golfers remain in East Lake to see who will lift the coveted FedEx Cup trophy and $10 million check.

Unfortunately there are no South Africans this weekend, but there will definitely be some fierce competition especially between this year's major winners Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas.

4. PRO14

The PRO14 action is still in South Africa with round 4 underway this weekend!

The Cheetahs will look to win in front of their home crowd again as they take on Irish club, Leinster in a Cheetahs double header on Friday (20:00).

While the Southern Kings hope to get their first win under the belt when play host to Zebre (Saturday at 19:35).

5. ENGLISH PREMIERSHIP EXTRAVAGANZA!

The English Premiership is here to keep us entertained all through Saturday and Sunday.

Some of the biggest fixtures include Crystal Palace travelling to Manchester to take on Pep Guardiola's men (Kick-off on Saturday, 16:00).

Then we have an epic clash between Leicester City take on the 'troubled' Liverpool (Kick-off on Saturday, 18:30).

Notable mentions include the Confederation Cup quarter-final between Zesco United and SuperSport United (Kick-off on Saturday is at 15:00), the MotoGP of Aragon and India vs Australia third ODI on Sunday (10:00).
