Tyson upset after NZ snub

London - Three days after being banned from New Zealand, Mike Tyson has hit out at the decision to revoke his visa due to a rape conviction.

The former heavyweight boxing champion was due to travel to Auckland in November.

During a visit to London, Tyson maintained on Saturday that "the people wanted me to come. If it was a fair organisation, a fair fight I would be there but I got vetoed by the higher power."

Tyson served three years in prison after the 1991 rape of an 18-year-old woman in an Indianapolis hotel room.

Tyson says being denied access to New Zealand is "one of those things in life that happens - it's life on life's terms and everyone has to deal with that and those uncertainties."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
