Sagan wins super-combativity award

Morzine - Peter Sagan completed his best Tour de France yet by being awarded the race's super-combativity award.

Having already sewn up a fifth straight green points jersey and won three stages -- bettering the two he claimed in 2012 and 2013 -- the world champion added another award, that of most attacking rider throughout the race.

The 26-year-old Slovak was regularly in breakaways and one audacious attack in crosswinds allowed him to win the 11th stage ahead of yellow jersey wearer Chris Froome.

Sagan edged out Belgian Thomas De Gendt and Jarlinson Pantano of Colombia, who won the day's combativity award, to take the overall title.

His Tour may get even better yet as he is one of the favourites to win Sunday's final stage that finishes on the Champs Elysees in Paris.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
