Spectator takes on horses

Johannesburg - An eager spectator on Tuesday night invaded the Greyville Racecourse for a foot race with the four-legged thoroughbreds.

The unnamed spectator jumped the rails 15m from the finish line and tried to outsprint the horses home in the final race of the evening.

The chief of security brought the unlikely participant down with a rugby tackle approximately 25m past the winning posts.

The participant failed to achieve a podium result.
