Cape Town - The Sun Met celebrated with Mumm has been hailed as "the richest horseracing day in Africa" it is also the event that the “who’s who” of SA's social hierarchy regard as one of the most dazzling affairs not to be missed within their annual social calendar.

It's an event where SA's most opulent and glamourous of all come together for a display of what can be termed the finest of them all ...

With an honorary guest list of influential celebrities and designers as well as the iconic international champagne Maison Mumm, memorable and daring experiences can be anticipated; alongside spectacular representation to embrace this year’s theme "decades of glamour".

This prestigious event's philosophy of glamour, elegance and victory will be portrayed through expressions of rarity and daring star studded designs, that which Mumm prides itself on.

Some of the exciting collaborations to expect will be with the amazing KLUK CGDT team and Minnie Dlamini, Warrick Gautier and Cape Town’s darling; Jeannie D, and SA Hip Hop Star Da Les who will be working with House of Ole.

Minnie Dlamini is extremely excited about being KLUK CGDTs muse - "I'm super excited!!! We've wanted to work together for a while and this is the perfect opportunity"

KLUK CGDT says - The theme "Decades of glamour" is as much about the “now” as it is the past, it is an accumulative influence of fashion from history with a contemporary silhouette. It is about making a statement, about a sense of occasion and about appropriate dress for the event.

"We love Minnie, she is a strong empowered woman who is classy and elegant and has dared to stand out and make her mark. It is this quality we want to celebrate! KLUK CGDT is all about luxury and exclusivity and unique design and this is why we associate ourselves with Minnie Dlamini."

From the words of designer Warrick Gautier on dressing the glamourous Jeannie D - "For me it's all about high voltage sensual couture meets elegance, refinement and beauty!! It's a celebration of art of savoir-faire".

"Jeannie is a sensual, glamorous woman who celebrates life to the full. She is the perfect lady to have fun with at the races. Jeannie's dress design will define just that, high voltage sensual couture meets elegance and style, with a touch of fun for a great day at the races!"

Ole Ledimo renowned designer from the House of Olé believes that creativity is intelligence having fun. In pure celebration of such fine sentiment we can expect to see one of SA's truest upbeat hip hop stars Da Les in wearable art, the greatest form of fashion rebellion. Expect to see something stand-out and daring; which also encapsulates what the Mumm brand stands for; alongside the main Sun Met Celebrated with Mumm Theme-Decades of Glamour.

On a final note sipping from endless fountains of Mumm's legendary champagne and mingling with SA's finest is just a taste of what's to come deeming this a "once in a lifetime" experience not to be missed...

Our tips for race day courtesy of Fashion Label KLUK CGDT:

· A Cocktail dress (knee length) is most suited to this event. It is an outdoor day function, therefore cool and sophisticated is the order of the day

· Do not come in fancy dress, it may be fun but not necessarily stylish

· Use the decade that inspires you as an INFLUENCE not a bible

· Dress for the occasion with shoes which are appropriate and comfortable. A fashionable trend right now are block heels and flatforms as opposed to wedges

· Hats are both useful for the sun as well as making a statement

· A touch of red bringing in the essence of Mumm will always make a daring statement
