Cape Town - Former Springbok wing Chester Williams will carry the Olympic torch on behalf of the South Africa at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro later this year, EWN reports.
This will be the second time Williams is bestowed with this honour, having previously carried the torch at the 2004 Athens Olympics.
Williams, 45, played 27 Tests for the Springboks between 1993 and 2000.
He was also a member of the victorious Springbok team that won the 1995 Rugby World Cup when they beat New Zealand 15-12 in the final in Johannesburg.
