Van der Burgh wins silver for Team SA

Cape Town - Cameron van der Burgh has won the silver medal in the men's 100m breaststroke at the Fina World Championship in Kazan, Russia.

Van der Burgh finished in a time of 58.59.

British star Adam Peaty pocketed the gold medal in 58.52 while his compatriot Ross Murdoch claimed the bronze in 59.09.

Van der Burgh's medal was the first for Team SA in the pool, but the second overall after Chad Ho won the gold medal in the 5km open water swim.
