Hartley wins bronze at worlds

Moscow -  South Africa's Olympic star Bridgitte Hartley won the bronze medal in the women's 500m K1 final at the ICF Sprint Canoeing World Championships in Moscow on Sunday.

She was the bronze medallist in the same event at the 2012 London Olympic Games.

2 Lisa Carrington NZL 1:49.790

3 Bridgitte Hartley RSA 1:50.496

In Spain, South African crews won two medals at the Sella Descent, with Andy Birkett and Greg Louw finishing third overall, and Abby Adie and Laura O'Donaghue winning the women's race.
