Johannesburg - South African heavyweight prospect Flo Simba says he will bounce back in his next fight after he was stopped by veteran Francois Botha in the sixth round in Johannesburg in June.
Simba was set to face Zimbabwean Thamsanqa Dube in the main bout on the Thunderbolt box and dine bill, a joint promotion between African Ring and Golden Gloves at Emperors Palace at the end of August.
"The Botha fight has come and gone and you will see my determination and better defensive skills on August 29," Simba said on Wednesday.
Elsewhere on the same bill, Golden Gloves confirmed that South African light-heavyweight champion Tshepang Mohale will square up against Ryno Liebenberg who had knocked out all three of his previous opponents.
Warren Joubert will be up against Raymond Mbondunda in a junior-lightweight fight over six rounds, Sylvester Zaki is to face Michael van Heerden in a six-round junior-middleweight bout, Zan Jonker will take on Jared Silverman in a lightweight contest over four rounds, and newcomer Adam de Moor is to meet Kata Fakana in the junior-welterweight division, also over four rounds.
