Darian Townsend added a silver medal to his name in the 200m individual medley when he touched the wall in 1:54.91. The gold medal went to Brazil's Thiago Pereira (1:52.81) and the bronze to Germany's Markus Deibler (1:55.85).
South Africa's second silver medal of the evening came from George du Rand who finished with a 1:51.86 in the 200m backstroke. Arkady Vyatchanin from Russia ended with the gold in 1:49.48 and Poland's Radoslaw Kawecki in third with 1:52.42.
In the 100m butterfly, it was Lyndon Ferns who claimed the bronze medal in a time of 51.66 behind Russia's Evgeny Korotyshkin in 50.75 and Germany's Steffen Deibler in 50.81.
On the ladies side, Mandy Loots clocked a 2:08.15 in the 200m butterfly to take home the bronze medal. Elaine Breeden from the USA came in first in 2:05.38 with the silver going to Sweden's Martina Granstroem in 2:07.16.
Schoeman, Townsend, Ferns, Du Rand as well as Mandy Loots will be continuing to the sixth leg of the FINA/Arena Swimming World Cup taking place in Moscow (November 2-3).
