SA women to meet Holland

London - An on-song world No 4 Great Britain did everything but beat world No 3 Germany in a vital Pool B match at the London Cup in Chiswick on Thursday night.

Germany won 2-1 which means that the South African women's hockey team will meet world No 1 Holland in the first semi-final on Saturday. (15:30 SA time)

The earlier match saw Holland beat Ireland 5-1 to win Pool A.

The second semi-final will see Germany against world No 7 Australia, second in Pool B, at 18:00 (SA time).

Earlier this week South Africa beat Great Britain 3-1 and then lost 1-0 to Germany.
