SA women set for epic month

Johannesburg - International women's hockey returns to Randburg at 14:00 on Sunday when South Africa take on Spain in a five-Test rubber, which forms the first segment of the Investec International Series.

Spain will also face captain Marsha Marescia's SA women's hockey team at 19:00 on Tuesday and Thursday next week before tackling the Spaniards in the fourth and fifth Tests at 14:00 next Saturday and Sunday.

Immediately after that series follows a triangular against Ireland and Belgium.

Prior to each of the games against Spain the South African junior invitational squad, which features players competing for a place in South Africa's 2012 junior World Africa qualifier side, annd will be taking on a South Africa "A" team, which will feature senior national squad players not taking part in the Test match.
