Johannesburg - India fought back from three goals down on Sunday to draw 3-3 against South Africa in the fifth and final hockey Test in New Delhi.
The hosts had done enough earlier in the series to secure a 3-1 win.
South Africa fired in three goals shortly before half-time, with Rick West, Ian Haley and Miguel da Graca scoring within nine minutes of the break.
The Indians, however, struck back in the second period.
Yuvraj Walmiki netted their first in the 43rd minute and VR Raghunath scored six minutes later to narrow the gap further.
With four minutes left, SK Uthappa equalised for the hosts to prevent South Africa from bagging a consolation victory.
