Rice tweets racy swimsuit pic

Cape Town - Swimmer Stephanie Rice is catching flak in her native Australia for tweeting a picture of herself in a racy swimsuit.

According to the Yahoo! Sports website, the three-time Olympic gold medalist took the photo of herself wearing a birthday gift from designer Ellie Gonsalves and posted it on Twitter. It made figurative waves one month before she defends her Olympic titles in both the 200m and 400m individual medleys in London.

Some Twitter commenters thought it was another disgrace to an Australian swim team that's recently dealt with a gun controversy.

Rice used to date Wallaby and Reds flyhalf Quade Cooper.
