Oslo - Oscar Pistorius has endured another set-back in his bid to qualify for August's World Athletics Championships in Berlin when he competed in the second Golden League meeting of the year on Friday night.
Pistorius clocked 47.18 seconds when finishing second in the 400m B race.
The remarkable 22-year-old clocked his fastest time of the year but he was well beaten by Richard Strachan of Great Britain who won the event in 45.86.
For a place in the South African team to Germany Pistorius needs 45.55, which has not yet been achieved by any SA athlete this year, although 12 have run faster than the Blade Runner.
Of them Pieter Smith (45.63), Ofentse Mogawane (45.81), hurdler LJ van Zyl (45.82) and Sibusiso Sishi (46.22) have come closest to the required mark.
