Cape Town - South Africa's Casper Schutte has fallen agonisingly short of winning a medal in the men's javelin F42 at the London Paralympics on Friday.

Schutte finished in fourth place with a distance of 48.12m.

The gold medal went to China's Yanlong Fu (52.79m), with Iran's Kamran Shokrisalari (52.06m) winning silver, while Norway's Runar Steinstad (48.90m) settled for bronze.
