Four gold, one bronze for SA

Beijing - South Africa collected three gold medals and a bronze on thesecond day of the Paralympics in Beijing to bring their tally after twodays to four gold and the one bronze.

Natalie du Toit who won South Africa's first gold medal in a worldrecord time in the 100m butterfly on Sunday, added a second when shewon the 100m freestyle, just outside the world mark.

Charl Bruwer claimed gold in the 400m freestyle while PhilippaJonson added the fourth gold in the Individual Equestrian Championships(Grade IV).

Nicholas Newman was in line for a silver medal in the javelinbut his distance was overtaken in the last round and he had to settlefor bronze.
