WATCH: Team SA cheer on Wayde

Cape Town - Not every member of Team South Africa could make it to the Olympic Stadium to see Wayde van Niekerk smash the 400m world record and win South Africa's first gold medal of the Rio Olympics.

That didn't mean that they could not support van Niekerk from their base in the Olympic village, however.

A large number of Team South Africa crowded into a condominium to lend their support and were even joined by members of Team Kenya.
