Cape Town - Cameron van der Burgh has won South Africa's first medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Van der Burgh took the silver medal in the men's 100m breaststroke on Sunday night (Monday morning SA time) in a time of 58.69.
Great Britain's Adam Peaty took the gold medal in stunning fashion, setting another world record in 57.13.
American Cody Miller finished third in 58.87.
