SA rowing duo reach men's pair final

Cape Town - South African rowers Lawrence Brittain and Shaun Keeling on Tuesday reached the men’s pair final at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Brittain and Keeling finished third in their semi-final event but it was enough to reach the A-final in this rowing event.

The South African duo finished with a time of 6:27.59 in the 2 000m event.  

New Zealand’s Eric Murray and Hamish Bond finished first in a time of 6:23.36, while Great Britain’s Alan Sinclair and Stewart Innes were third in 6:26.37.
