Cape Town - Julius
Yego of Kenya had to settle for silver in the javelin throw final,
finishing behind gold medalist Thomas Röhler of Germany.
The 27-year-old Kenyan's best distance of 88.24m was trumped by the German's 90.30m, with Keshorn Walcott of Trinidad and Tobago taking bronze on 85.38m.
Yego fell on the follow-through in the fourth round and decided to skip his remaining two attempts, allowing the 24-year-old German to win gold with his fifth-round effort.
