Rio - Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal both earned easy wins in the open round of the men's singles at the Rio Olympic Games on Sunday.
Murray needed 83 minutes to ease past Viktor Troicki of Serbia 6-3, 6-2 on the hard courts of the Olympic Tennis Centre.
After losing his opening service game, the second seed never looked back, racing to a 5-2 lead before closing out the set.
The Scot then powered through the second set without facing a break point.
Meanwhile, third seed Nadal was made to work a touch harder for his 6-2, 6-1 win over Argentine Federico Delbonis.
The opening set was a tense affair, with the duo swapping breaks early on. Delbonis would rally to save several break points but the pressure finally told, as Nadal won the final four games of the set.
Nadal then saved three break points of his own in the second set on his way to closing out the match.
In other results, local favourite Thomaz Bellucci advanced after Dustin Brown was forced to retire hurt, while seventh seed David Ferrer skipped past Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan 6-2. 6-1.
